Project Description

Much is being made today of the need to develop resilience at work, but what is it – the ability to survive the knocks of everyday life?

For me, it is more than that – it is developing a different perspective on communication where the focus is no longer on ‘me’ but on those I work with.  It is based on three critical criteria:

  • TRUST
  • REPUTATION
  • RECIPROCITY

Back in the 1990s, the economic case was demonstrated by Elinor Ostrom, who found that

“…building trust, enhancing reputations and encouraging reciprocity from within teams reduces conflict and improves productivity”.

I recognise that trust and communication are skills that need to be learned; together with our partners, I have developed a range of research-validated improvement strategies to challenge and improve the thinking in your organisation to improve communication and trust.

I offer a range of services, from working with individuals on a one-to-one basis, coaching, counselling, or mentoring, to delivering workshops and ongoing programmes.

What is different about these programmes is that they utilise research-validated solution-focused tools and techniques that are designed to achieve results in the short term.

Our work moves beyond a traditional model of training.  I sit down with you and listen to what you really need – and I really am a very good listener – I focus on the environmental factors, the organization structure, processes, cultures (official and unofficial) and other issues that may or may not be impacting upon your ability to develop effective communication and resilience among your teams.

Give me a call - if not now, when?
